Remote Learning Spring 2020 Packet 2

The Illinois State Board of Education has declared that Remote Learning Days will begin for schools statewide on March 31 and continue until in-person instruction can resume. Chaney-Monge will provide learning packets and online resources located on the district website during remote learning days. Each learning packet will contain four weeks' worth of work. The second learning packet will be passed out, Monday, April 20th from 9 am-Noon and Tuesday, April 21st from 9 am-Noon. When school resumes, please turn in all learning packets to your classroom or homeroom teacher. Grades will not negatively be affected during remote learning days. Please email your classroom or homeroom teacher with any questions. If school remains closed, we will provide another learning packet in May. Please keep in mind things could continue to change during this pandemic. The second learning packet will be distributed at Door 9 on Chaney Avenue. Breakfast and lunch meals will be distributed Monday the 20th and Tuesday, the 21st at Door 11 on Chaney Avenue as usual. In effect you will be able to get both a learning packet and meals on Chaney Avenue. If you are unable to pick up a learning packet, please call the school and leave a message.

Also, work has begun on the additional classrooms in anticipation of full day kindergarten starting next school year 20-21. Additional information will come through the auto dialer system for changes to arrival and dismissal locations for kindergarten and first grade when school resumes per Governor Pritzker's and the Illinois State Board of Education's direction.
